Pippa Bat Bookband

It was 2012 when I first designed Pippa... she was a spin off of another product I used to make, but fast forward twelve years and she's had a little meakeover! Pippa measures 6 x 11cm, and is hand cut, and freemotion embroidered onto two layers of thick, interfaced wool felt, then finished with a coordinating elastic and a tiny Fernery label. 

I feel like Pippa's happiest hanging unpside down on your spookiest book, but of course I've stitched her so that you can pop her either way up - I promise she won't grumble! 

Pippa is also available as a hanging desoration, along with her beau Percy!

These bookbands were made out of necessity, as I am someone who regularly thinks I can manage a few pages of my book before I fall asleep, and this more often than not ends up with my husband peeling my book off my face an hour later... I got tired of losing my page, so something had to be done! The band stretches perfectly around most books, so even if you're reading a big fat hardback it will keep your place for you. These are also perfect if you use a paper diary or planner.
